Applying for Credentialing

NEW APPLICANTS

To take the first step towards gaining personal recognition in your specialty area of nursing as a Specialist Credentialed Nurse, please visit the specialty website for further information on becoming credentialed:

Please note, you do not have to be a member of the specialty organisation to apply for credentialing, but you do need to be eligible to apply for credentialing. Ensure you download all documents and resources from your specialty website before you commence your online application.

RE-CREDENTIALING

Even if your current credential has expired, please select Re-Credentialing as you have already provided your qualifications when first credentialed.

Before commencing your Re-credentialing application, please visit the specialty website to ensure you have all the latest resources and templates:

Credentialing Fees

A not-refundable application processing payment will be required at the time of submitting your application. Please visit your specialty website for current fees.
APPLICATION FEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Application Fee Refunds
It is an applicant’s responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements of the credential to which the applicant is applying. Refunds are not granted under any circumstance, including to applicants who did not meet a specialty nursing organisation’s minimum requirements to apply. This is because the fee you pay covers the costs to C4N in assessing your application.

Withdrawn Application

The application fee is non-refundable should the applicant decide not to proceed with their application at any stage.

Unsuccessful Application
The application fee will not be refunded should the applicant be unsuccessful in being awarded a credential.

Lapsed Application
Where an applicant allows an application to lapse (i.e. does not respond to a request for further information within six months), no application fee refund will be given and the applicant will be required to make a new application and pay a new fee for any subsequent application.

You will be asked to confirm you acknowledge that you have read and understand the above terms and conditions of the application fee in your application.

Privacy

Organisations partnering in the Specialist Nurse Credentialing Project regard applicants’ and credentialed nurses’ privacy as an important part of their relationship with nurses. The privacy policy for the Specialist Nurse Credentialing Program conforms with Australian Privacy Principles as defined in the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012, which amends the Privacy Act 1988, and applies to all nurses who lodge information as part of the credentialing process.
